There is something truly magical about a spring rustic wedding in Michigan, especially when the sun decides to show off after days of rain. Mahrya and David’s celebration at Wildwood Family Farms unfolded on the most perfect May afternoon—warm light, blooming florals, and a relaxed, joyful atmosphere that set the tone for their beautifully rustic, elegant, and laid-back day.
This Michigan rustic wedding created heartfelt moments, showcased meaningful details, and brought their families together in the sweetest way.

One of the most memorable parts of the day came from this rustic wedding was how intentionally the couple included their children in every part of the celebration. They came into their marriage with two wonderful families already in place, and their greatest joy was bringing everyone together. The love, excitement, and closeness between them created a sweet emotional backdrop throughout the day.

After a cold, rainy rehearsal the night before, the wedding morning greeted us with sunshine and clear skies—like the weather knew it had a job to do. The open fields, charming barn spaces, and natural beauty of Wildwood Family Farms were the ideal setting for a Michigan rustic wedding, enhancing the couple’s elegant yet laid-back style.

For their design, they chose a classic palette of black, white, blush, and lush greenery. The soft florals added freshness against the darker attire, creating a look that felt timeless and romantic. It was the perfect blend of rustic charm and elevated elegance—an aesthetic that fits seamlessly with spring weddings in Michigan.
One of our favorite touches was the vintage car they brought for portraits after the ceremony. The groom owned it himself, making it such a meaningful and personal detail. The car added a nostalgic twist to their photos, and they even cut their cake right in front of it. This moment became a standout highlight from this Michigan rustic wedding, and the images are unforgettable.

Mahrya and David reached out to us in January for a May 10th wedding. That gave us only a few months to plan. David opened his welcome speech by joking that they were “very last-minute people.” He was thanking everyone for coming together on such short notice. Even with the quick timeline, their day still unfolded beautifully.
We felt honored to bring this meaningful celebration to life on a tight timeline. Seeing the final result—elegant, personal, and full of joy—made every moment worthwhile.
