A timeless wedding for an elegant couple. Goodbye long distance, and cheers to forever! A deeper look into the classy and vibrant wedding of Anna + Daniel.
Anna + Daniel met at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago during Anna’s freshman year and Daniel’s Junior year. They were great friends during their time together at Moody and always had a lot of fun and great conversations. They both admit that God definitely had placed the other on their hearts early on in their friendship but neither of them acted on it out of a desire to not jump into anything too quickly. Finally in the fall of 2020, after a long quarantine apart, they reunited on campus and in just a couple short months, through a series of events, they were “official!” Daniel graduated in December, just one month after they started dating, so the majority of their relationship was spent doing long distance. After endless phone calls, plane rides and tearful goodbyes – Anna and Daniel finally said I-do to one another and said good-bye to long distance on July 2nd 2022!
Anna is my younger sister so we knew when she got engaged that I would get to be involved in planning her wedding! Though I was not her official full service wedding planner, she came to me throughout the process for advice and inspiration for various aspects of their wedding day. Our Associate Coordinator, Emily Kutt, was their day-of coordinator for the big day! It was the perfect balance between using my services but also allowing me to be the sister/maid of honor and enjoy the day too! Emily K did a great job that day and she allowed the entire family to enjoy the day to the fullest!
Anna and Daniel love The Lord and he was at the very center of their wedding day. They were surrounded by love and prayers throughout the day, beautiful worship and scripture at their ceremony, and Christ-centered well wishes in their speeches at the reception. Not to mention, Anna and Daniel radiate Christ’s love. It is just who they are and it is undeniable. They wanted each of their guests to experience Christ’s love whether it be for the first time or if Jesus is an old friend to them. The gospel was shared and they will continue to live that out in their marriage as a representation of Christ and the church for the rest of their lives!
Anna’s personality is very bright and vibrant and her wedding design vision was a representation of that! Her linens and decor were crisp whites and then they had super vibrant colors for their florals. It truly turned out amazing! The bridal bouquet was full of lush, bright florals and was the final touch her bridal look needed. The bouquet had peonies, dahlias, lisianthus and other gorgeous blooms.
Anna + Daniel had originally chosen a different venue for their wedding day at a church on the east side of Michigan. They came to find out through a friend that the church they had booked was actually a cult. Due to their own convictions about this, they made the hard decision to forego their deposit and find a new venue. This was just months before their big day so the pressure was high to find a new location. When they originally came across The Holly Vault Collection they knew it was outside of their budget but they reached out anyways since they were in a pinch. Low and behold, the only date they had open for the rest of the year was July 2nd, their original wedding date! AND they offered them a discount since they were looking to get the date filled as soon as possible. I share this not to call out the cult, but to show how God provided for Anna + Daniel in response to their obedience to Him! This is one of many stories of provision for their wedding day and I am grateful to have been able to witness it first-hand.
One of the most special moments during Anna + Daniel’s wedding was Anna’s Father-Daughter dance. Anna is a singer and songwriter so she wrote a special song for their dance. She did not tell a single soul before the wedding that she was doing this and believe me when I say there was not a dry eye in the room. Anna being my sister, I was sobbing!! It was not a good look for me (makeup=gone) but I couldn’t hold back. Not only was the song heartfelt but it was a genuinely beautiful song and was so uniquely written for the relationship between her and her father. This is a memory that will be cherished forever!
Kind words from the bride…
“I had an incredible experience with In the Details Wedding Planning! Emily, the owner, was a wealth of knowledge for me leading up to the wedding and the day of the wedding, of course. She is extremely organized, and it is obvious that she has experience and expertise in this field. She had all of the needed paperwork for various aspects of the process and was an encouragement and help as I had so many questions. She helped my vision come to life and my day was even more beautiful than I could have imagined.
Additionally, my Day of Coordinator, Emily Kutt, was amazing! She made sure there was literally nothing for me to worry about the day of the wedding. She was reliable and so easy to communicate with. She made sure she had contacts of everyone she could reach out to on the wedding day if she had questions, and I was never bothered on my wedding day! She stuck to the timeline and made seamless adjustments when certain things took more or less time than anticipated. And she is so kind and gentle! A peaceful presence on my wedding day. Overall, my experience with In the Details was exceptional and I couldn’t recommend this business more for brides looking for a beautiful and stress-free wedding day!” -Anna Preston
