Emma and Heath’s wedding was a beautiful blend of simplicity and laid-back atmosphere, with beachy accents adding to the charm. It was a memorable day filled with love, fun, and unforgettable moments.

Emma + Heath got married on a beautiful sunny day in May of 2021. There was some talk of rain in the forecast but the weather stayed clear until the very end of the event and then the downpour came. It was like the clouds were holding back so that they could have their perfect day! Their day was full of joy as family and friends from all over came around them to celebrate. Emma + Heath are a perfect pair and compliment each other so well and that was evident on their wedding day.

Emma + Heath’s wedding ceremony took place on their grandma and grandpa’s property on the Grand Traverse Bay. It was almost as if their backyard was made for wedding ceremonies! They had gorgeous landscaping and the bay was a perfect backdrop for their photos. The reception happened right down the street at Emma’s parent’s house. They set up a large tent in their backyard and transformed the space into their own custom wedding venue.

The Father of the Bride has played in a band for years and they had a long-standing agreement to play in all of their children’s weddings. It was Emma’s turn and they killed it! The dance floor was packed all night. There is something special about having a live band at weddings and having the father of the bride in the band just added to the excitement.

Emma and I met through one of her bridesmaids and my friend from college, Abby. Most of Emma’s bridal party were talented singers and during the reception they sang all performed a song that they wrote with Emma’s dad’s band playing in the background. It was so fun to watch Emma’s face light up during this performance!

At first we were unsure about spending money on a wedding coordinator, however, having Emily and her lovely assistant a part of our wedding was worth every penny. As a bride, I was able to sit back and enjoy the day, as were all of my family members. We were able to live in the moment and just soak it all in!! We truly had the perfect wedding, and it was largely due to In the Details!!
