There’s always something so special when it comes to smaller weddings. All the most important people of your life are present for the biggest MOMENT of your life. And Lexi + CJ’s wedding delivered just that-elegant, boho, and intimacy. 

Lexi + CJ’s wedding took place on one of the hottest days of summer in 2021. Luckily, their getting ready and reception space was indoors but their ceremony was held outside. Guests waited anxiously indoors for the ceremony to begin while Lexi + CJ stayed cool upstairs in their getting ready suites. Guests were relieved to return indoors for cocktail hour and for the remainder of the evening. Lexi + CJ’s wedding was a celebration of love and faith and you could feel it in the room. 

​Lexi  + CJ got married at Venue3Two, a mansion located in Kentwood, Michigan. The venue’s ballroom is a blank slate with large windows which leaves design open to your own interpretation. Bride’s can truly create whatever atmosphere they wish in their space. The rest of the mansion is rich with elegant details. From a large spiral staircase to intricately designed getting ready rooms to a large outdoor space to hold ceremonies – they have it all! This venue was perfect for Lexi + CJ and they were able to bring their vision to life perfectly here. 

The color palette for this wedding was neutrals, oranges, pinks and black accents. Their florist included craspedia in their bouquets and arrangements which is typically a yellow filler flower and actually spray painted them black. It was the perfect way to bring in the black accent but still keep the soft elegance.

Lexi was one of the most organized brides I have worked with! She hired us to carefully execute the day she planned and it was absolutely beautiful. Her design was complimented several times throughout the day and I wish I could take credit. Each detail was carefully considered and it all came together beautifully. From hand lettered place cards to wooden tables to a gorgeous collection of dinnerware from Gigi and LaClede – it was absolute perfection!

Though Lexi + CJ’s wedding was small, there were many intricate details to account for. I am proud of our team for jumping in during the final stages, taking what Lexi had carefully planned, and creating a timeline and setup plan that ensured the day would go smoothly. Many times, it is hard for brides to let go day-of and let their coordinator do their thing. Though Lexi was very involved in planning beforehand, she really did relinquish control on her wedding day and because of that, she was able to be fully present with her new husband and closest family and friends.

It is our honor to be your right hand women on our couples wedding days to ensure it is a smooth day that they will always remember. Lexi + CJ’s wedding was no exception to this – we will be forever grateful for them as clients. Since their wedding day they have welcomed a beautiful baby girl into the world and have moved across the country together. We love keeping up with our couples via social media and cheering them as they celebrate more of life’s exciting milestones!
